About

Rebecca Kasper, Psy.D.

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the States of Arizona, New York and Wisconsin.  I am also licensed with PSYPACT to conduct telehealth across state lines that participate in the PSYPACT agreement.  I received my doctorate from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, an American Psychological Association accredited school.  While studying at The Chicago School, I received supervised training at a variety of mental health settings from charter schools to private psychiatric hospitals and outpatient clinics.  I also received specialized training working with children and adolescents and in the use of creative arts therapies.  The Chicago School prepared me to be a culturally sensitive psychologist with knowledge and experience working with clients from a variety of ethnic and socio economic backgrounds.  While living in Chicago, I volunteered with organizations to provide the community with education about mental health and stop community violence.  I continued my practice in New York City working with adults suffering from dementia, terminal illness, and severe mental illnesses. I also worked in a state psychiatric hospital with children and adolescents with severe mental illness and histories of trauma.

I am a generalist psychologist, meaning I treat a variety of mental health concerns across the lifespan (children, adolescents, adults, and older adults).  My primary specialties are treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, stress management, parenting concerns, and postpartum issues. I offer client-centered psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-focused CBT, dialectical behavioral techniques, mindfulness, and play therapy. Since no two people are the same, I tailor my techniques and approaches to my client’s unique needs and circumstance. My goal is to foster a therapeutic relationship and create a safe environment where my client’s are able to identify their strengths, build healthy coping skills, and work through life’s challenges.
